Hi, I'm Abdul!
An experience designer fascinated by the intersection of humans, design, and technology.
While finishing up my undergraduate degree in architetcure, I had the opportunity to design an app to help refugees and immigrants moving to America start a business from their very own kitchen (see Home Cookie Project). This was the catalyst that led me to explore UX/UI design.
Coming from an immigrant background myself, the idea stemmed from a place of wanting to make a difference in the world by starting first with my community. It was then that I was exposed to user experience design and was eager to explore how I could combine my background for design and the reach of technology to reshape interactions, foster connections, and drive meaningful change.
As I delved deeper, I realized that the principles I had honed in architecture—of empathy, functionality, and User-centric design—were seamlessly translatable to the digital landscape.
