The pandemic has led to medical professionals being overworked and underpaid meaning less people are receiving quality healthcare.

Our current healthcare system is based on a reactive approach meaning curing illnesses and diseases rather than preventing them.

SOLUTION

Who are the users?

(Archetypes)

Based on the research, two different archetypes were created In order to form a deeper understanding of the type of patients that would be using this platform as well as their needs.

What we learned

- Video calls save time for the busy patients as well as provides seclusion for the other

- Video calls also allows for more frequent doctor appointments.

- Most people have smart devices which can help provide more information to doctors.

- AI can take the place of mundane tasks and provide advice to clients based on user data

- Automating other tasks such as scheduling appointments and follow ups with patients

Process (Phase 2)

MVP Roadmap

Using a variety of mainly free tools, I built out a roadmap that uses AI and automation tools to deliver a personalized user experience. I also included multiple backups of backups for the users information using different databases to ensure data protection.

Design (Phase 3)

Iterations and Improvements

Before settling down and committing to a final design, I brainstormed several different versions of the main pages and did some usability test/interviews to see if they are viable options. I then went back and improved the designs based on the data I gathered.

1. More Info at A Glance

- We changed the home screen to include more important information at a quick glance.
- We also Introduced more visuals such as a progress bar and charts

2. Emphasis On Just One

- Rather then listing out each workout in a column, theres an emphasis on the current workout along with a more intuitive interface

3. A More Organized Bio

- The bio was first inspired by other social medias but than changed showcase more relevant health information at the forefront.
- Progress photos are broken up into weekly blocks rather then individual photos for better organization.

Before settling down and committing to a final design, I brainstormed several different versions of the main pages and did some usability test/interviews to see if they are viable options. I then went back and improved the designs based on the data I gathered.

1. Streamlined Onboarding

- After some user feedback, we realized that the onboarding process plays a huge role in whether or not a user decides to sign up so making it as easy as possible will ensure and increase in user retention.

2. Intuitive Homescreen

- Providing more essential information at the forefront rather. then having to press multiple buttons and navigate through the app to find the info

3. Messages to Video

At first, our intention was to include only a messaging feature. However, we later realized that video calls provide doctors with a richer quantity and quality of information."

Reflection (Phase 4)

01. Making healthcare more inclusive and accessible.

Underrepresented groups don't seem to know that Telehealth is an option. Given more time, I would look into how we could target and educate underrepresented groups

02. The uber for prescriptions medicine

Moving forward, I would like to also include a way for doctors to prescribe as well as use a delivery service to bring prescription medicine to people in need.

03. The rise of AI and smart wearable tech

The use of AI and smart technology that's intertwined with the platform allows for patients to receive quick and accurate advice from medical professionals. In turn, medical professionals have more time and resources to see more patients in urgent need.
